-- Should be deleted.  It is the match C for the stand by folded monopole which I deleted to avoid confusion, if you are dying to know.

-- The tower shed to the west was not part of the Blaw-Knox tower.  It was the feed for the flattop and still used for a back-up folded monopole.  The shed was built with the crates of the 50 KW Western Electric 7A which was the first 50-KW in the country (maybe world).  It was used as the exciter for the 500Kw.

-- This is the front to the WE 7A.  It was last used at the Millennium for about an hour. Look elsewhere for when it first went on, maybe about 27-28.

-- The Cath-anode cabinets (Rockwell's baby). PA using the WE to left for IPA ( not the finals).

-- A guy insulator.  The BK guys were replaced in 2011, first time since initial construction.

-- Two of the three PA's.  The tubes are shown on the catwalk.  There were 4 tubes in each PA.

-- One of the later Federal PA's.  The original RCA tubes were DC filament with perhaps 1100 Amps from Motor Generators in the basement.  Later they went to 3 Phase AC filaments with the Federal tooobes.

-- You see a tube in place in the rear (thru glass). The tube's plate seen unmounted in the foreground was immersed in a cooler that went in the area below the catwalk.  There the Pyrex piping carried the clean-loop distilled water that was cooled by an exchanger with the dirty-loop water  that went to the cooling pond.

-- Front toward right, the last two doors are the modulator.  The moose mod xmrf in the basement is right below these cabinets.

-- Good front view.  The PA's (3 of them) are at the left and the Mods (2 of them) are in the nearest cabinets.

-- Geoff Mendenhall with the operational Harris 50 KW

-- The original operating position showing a now paltry 15 Amps of RF.

-- Walt's Son Steve and an old buzzard

-- This is a kill pickle for one of the PA's.  The PA's were driven in parallel, the outputs were is series, and a "sled" in the basement directly below - world's biggest slide switch - permitted a single PA to be isolated or taken off line in case of emergency by taking it out of the series.
