Here's some information that I had to dig for. Maybe it will come in handy to someone else.

Solid State - Tube Rectifier Replacements:  Thanks to Ted, WA6TJN.
1N2389 (PIV=1.6KV, I_fwd=600 ma) is a replacement for 5V4, 5AY4, etc.
1N2631 (PIV=1.6KV,  I_fwd=600 ma) is a replacements for 5Y3, 5AW4, 5U4, etc.
They seem to be the same, but mine are by different manufacturers.
