Chaos: A state of utter confusion or disorder – Webster’s Dictionary
Our government has not been in greater disarray since the
War Between the States (1861-1865). The two federal legislative houses
are just about split evenly between the two major parties and are at
loggerheads with each other over nearly every aspect of public life in
the USA and failed statesmanship worldwide.
A year or so ago, I wrote a piece of satire about a
conveyor belt being installed in the White House, reaching from the
front portico to the rear door of the kitchen, in order to accommodate
the enormous number of presidential appointees who’ve been thrown into
a dumpster for having failed the litmus test of absolute, blind
loyalty to “His Donaldness.”
Kevin McAleenan, (above) the fourth Trump appointee to the
office of Director of Homeland Security, is the latest to be consigned
to the backdoor dumpster, in his case, fired even before he could be
confirmed.
I’ve lost count, and I bet Trump has as well, of the
number of Dumpees who’ve been fired or resigned in disgust in just four
years. Only Vice President What’s-His-Name and Kellyanne Conway remain
of the original blind-as-a-bat Trump loyalists who were in the White
House on January 21, 2017, celebrating Trump’s 2016 triumph.

Ross follows his older brothers to be an apprentice in the hazardous
trade of mining coal. It is doubly dangerous, for his father has been
sent to organize a local union in a "company owned" coal camp. "The
Prosperity Coal Company" is a novel based on actual events that
occurred all across the coal belt, when America was on the cusp of the
great depression, and union wars raged.
