ON THE POLICY OF SEPARATING THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN FROM THEIR PARENTS

From what I can discern, there is one person in the government of the United States who is publicly in favor of separating thousands of children from their parents in a futile attempt to stem the flow of illegal immigrants into this country, and that person is the Attorney General of the Department of Justice, Jefferson Beauregard Sessions, who, for whatever an irony is worth, was given the middle name of a famous Confederate General by his parents.

As late as this past Monday, Associated Press quotes Kellyanne Conway, a top advisor to the President since before he was elected. Conway contends that Trump is not in favor of the separation policy. The announcement adds...and neither is  Melania.

Trump himself tweeted the following: "Democrats can fix their forced family breakup at the border by working with Republicans on new legislation, and dedicating a few billion dollars to building a wall between the USA and Mexico. Even our President has abandoned the idea he can make Mexico pay for it, by using the children as pawns.

Meanwhile, Rep, Adam Schiff, (Democrat) of California, said "The administration is using the grief, the tears, the pain of these kids as mortar to build a wall; an effort to extort a bill to their liking in the Congress."

How about cooperation across the aisle, for a change?
