"SACKED" or "The Remodeling of the White House"

It has been leaked that the main entrance and door on the rear of the kitchen of the White House are slated to undergo radical architectural changes following the recent door-jam of bodies caused by staff terminations, en masse. The front portico is to receive a revolving door and a long, covered, high-speed conveyor belt is to be attached to the back door to shade the newly fired from the inquisitive press.

My satirical imagination of course, but how humiliating it must be to be the darling of the Oval Office one day and then in a few months be thrown out the back door into a dumpster owned by Fox News.

     AMONG THE MOST RECENT FIRINGS

REX TILLERSON, once head of Exxon Mobile— Secretary of State February 1, 2017-March 13, 2018. Despite a magnificent fanfare at his swearing in, he found favor in the President's eyes for barely 13 months, and was actually on his way out even before then.

UNVERIFIED: Rex was rumored to have once called El Presidente "a moron" (under his breath). VERIFIED: Tillerson repeatedly expressed his desire to continue to serve as Secretary of State and was reportedly shocked by his abrupt termination. (I was not. Two alpha males had gotten used to being Absolute Boss, long before the 2016 election.)

It was then the turn for ANDREW McCABE, Deputy Director of the FBI to assume the position on the catapult. He and his one-time Boss, James Comey, are not going to go silently into the night.

Jeff Sessions, our Attorney General, and Chief Toady in the King's Court, once looked upon by The Maximum Leader as a less than desirable lackey, adjusted his spectacles farther down his nose and declared that McCabe had not been "forthcoming," and had committed severe "press leaking" and "other indiscretions." (This is Sessions quoting Michael Horowitz, the Justice Department's Inspector General).

Both he and Sessions received their marching orders from the throne room. McCabe was summarily fired by Sessions literally hours before McCabe was to retire after 21 years of service (Especially vindictive, if he loses his pension. There's an appropriate saying, applicable here: "What goes around, comes around").

McCabe subsequently made public a statement, a portion of which follows. "I am being singled out and treated this way, because of the role I played, the action I took, and the events I witnessed in the aftermath of the firing of James Comey. The release of this report from the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) was accelerated only after my testimony to the House Intelligence Committee revealed that I would corroborate former Director Comey's accounts of his discussions with the President. The Office of the Inspector General's (OIG's) focus on me and this report became a part of an unprecedented effort by the Administration, driven by the President himself, to remove me from my position, destroy my reputation and possibly strip me of a pension I have worked 21 years to earn."

(Important: The full report from the Office of the Justice Department's Inspector General (OIG) referenced above, detailing McCabe's alleged wrongdoing, has not been made public, at this writing.

McCabe will plead his case in court and deserves to win. James Comey has a book on the way. As Yogi Berra once sagely predicted: "It ain't over, 'til it's over.
