THE SPIKE IN CORONAVIRUS CASES
As vote counting continues feverishly across the fruited plain,
something unique about this election was noted by the media: a tremendous
upsurge in new cases created worry for poll workers and voters alike.
This election turned into a "Super Spreader" event and the infection rate
continues to mount even as you read this.
It is imperative that we avoid others whenever and wherever
possible. Easy to advise. Nearly impossible to achieve.
The supermarket where we buy groceries has special hours on Tuesdays
and Thursdays at which times a handful of seniors can shop.
Hopefully, your physician(s) keep plenty of sanitizer handy; I pump a
little in my hand both coming and going, remembering that others used the
connecting doors, as well as entrance doors. I also keep some small
handy dispensers in the glove compartment of our vehicles.
Governors who wanted to please Trump by crying for wide open
hours for patrons are making what for many are fatal mistakes.
If I was governor, I would close all but those who serve outside and
observe large spaces between tables and patrons.
