THE LATEST CHAPTER OF THE TRUMP-PUTIN
ROMANCE
Despite wide-ranging denunciations from U.S. Secretary of State
Pompeo and Robert O'Brian, Trump's own National Security Advisor, along with
longtime Senate luminary Dick Durbin, President Trump refuses to blame Putin
for the broad Russian cyberattack on American agencies and resources. Durbin
called the massive espionage hack "virtually a declaration of war."
"The fact that this was done on such a massive scale, puts it
in a special category," said John Dermody, former Deputy Legal Advisor at
the National Security Council.
The cost to scour U.S. computer networks of Russian
malware will be enormous.
