We definitely need a program to tell friend from foe in the middle east.

Whose side are we on, anyway?

Never before has America encountered such a complicated quandary as it now faces with the hodge-podge of factions killing each other with abandon in the middle east. Only the deranged could conceive the scenario in which we are involved. The United States is using it's superlative airpower and advisors to assist an Iranian general—yes, I said a general from Iran—who is leading the ground battle being fought by one Islamic sect, the Shiites, against a militant group of crazies, supported by the Sunni sect: The Islamic State in Syria and Levant, or whatever this murderous mob calls itself this month.

Iran has continued to support the despot Assad of Syria, who is bent on killing half of his own people in order to maintain his dictatorship, as well as the Hezbollah militants fighting the Sunni's in Iraq and the Jews in Israel, whom they have sworn to destroy.

We are wasting the lives of more young people, not to mention our treasury, our time and energy trying to make-up with Iran in an effort to persuade them to not develop a thermonuclear arsenal.

If Iran has decided, as did Russia, North Vietnam, India and Pakistan, that it wishes to produce thermonuclear weapons, it will have them, and Israel will certainly destroy them, hopefully before they are installed on the tips of the giant rockets the Iranians have developed.

Come home, John Kerry! You are destined to lose this game of thrones.

The immutable law of Mutually Insured Destruction will not be repealed. Hopefully and prayerfully, the Iranian Ayatollas, and Vladimir Putin at his most machiavellian moment realize this, and none of the aforementioned are foolish enough to launch ICBMs toward us or our allies, including Israel.

So, what should we do?  We should increase the sanctions—the economic pressure—and do everything possible to produce enough energy to provide independence from the Middle Eastern and Russian oil fields. It's up to our allies to do the same.
