ADVERTISING: IT'S A BUSINESS THING

   I became aware of the advantage of buying things from Amazon.com when I founded a small business two years ago, more or less as a hobby, when the FCC initiated the move for TV Stations to change to High Definition TV.

     Being a retired manager and co-owner of radio stations and founder of the first cellular phone company in Tucson to be associated with a non-wireline (not associated with an established telephone service) cellular provider, I knew how this would impact the 14% of the Tucson area TV audience, especially those out in the boonies, who still depended upon free "through the air" broadcasts. Not only is the quality of the signal vastly improved, but many stations were permitted to use more channels, thereby expanding the offerings.

    However, some viewers needed a different antenna and if their set was not already equipped for Digital TV, it would need a converter box. I began shopping for antennas and converter boxes to sell and install. The best buys I found were from dealers listed on Amazon.com. Their prices even beat the Chinese and delivery was immediate - often overnight.

    My wife Phyllis had since become an Amazon shopper. Rarely a week passes when UPS does not deliver a box to our doorstep from Amazon.com. She purchased a Kindle. Since I am a voracious reader also, one was not enough. I bought one. Then I wrote a novel, my first (that's another story), and published it via Amazon Kindle. My wife has one-upped me with a Kindle Fire.

    After 53 years of being an inveterate commentator on radio stations, doing a blog was a natural thing to do - again as a hobby. After selling advertising on radio stations I managed, peddling advertising on this website was something more than one person suggested that I should do.

    Then, a few weeks ago, while checking my on-line Amazon.com account, I learned that if this website qualified, I could become an Associate of Amazon.com.  So I applied. So now, let's see if you like what you see.

     I'll try not to overwhelm you. The first Amazon.com advertisement appears as the  link at the bottom of this page. It's almost subliminal. Amazon.com will be the only advertiser you will see on I'm Right Again Dot Com.
