DECLARATION OF INCOMPETENCE

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that we are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights. That to secure these rights, Governments are installed among the People, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. (God blessed America with a plantation owner, president and genius, who gave us those words).

That whenever any Form of Government, by incompetence and the intoxication of almost limitless power becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principals and organizing its powers, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Our Legislative branch of government is dysfunctional.  Instead of abiding by the most basic economic precepts that are wholesome and necessary for the public good, they have taken us beyond bankruptcy.

They have raised exorbitant amounts of monies from individuals and entities expecting exceptional consideration, in order to secure votes for themselves by drowning us in vast amounts of advertising.

Beyond that, they have voted themselves endless subsidies, retirements and emolument never envisioned by the Framers of our Constitution.

Their exalted opinion of themselves has caused them to set themselves apart from we common folk and the rules by which these misnamed "representatives" say we must be governed.

They insist on continuing to waste vast amounts of money on foreign countries, much of which is diverted to the pockets of corrupt officials and people who hate us enough to kill all of us, if they could.

The flower of our youth has been decimated on foreign soil.

They have burdened coming generations with profligate spending, causing  our children's children to endure a burden that promises to continue without ceasing during their lifetimes.

They have mortgaged our fields, factories and natural resources to foreign governments to an extent beyond all reason. They are unable to meet the obligations of those to whom they have caused to be our debtors.  All of our power and energies are strained to the utmost, in order to pay the interest on borrowed money.

Yet, not one of our Federal Legislators has since the beginning of this crises, produced a list of items that they wish to be cut from the Federal Budget for their districts.

Delaying agreement on such a desperately needed direction and expanding the debt limit for brief periods of time is not a solution. It only gives pause while more debt is piled upon a bankruptcy.

Since so few of them have demonstrated they are fit to govern, all incumbents are tainted and all must be turned out of office. We must remember this at our next opportunity to vote.

And for those who cry about the loss of experience and ask "How can we possible succeed" without the current batch of querulous, finger-pointing, do-nothings in Washington,  it should be remembered that in the year 1776, on this continent, 56 delegates, among whom were merchants, farmers, ship owners, lawyers, jurists, and a stray former governor of a colony, did pretty good at their first try at inventing a unique, untried means of governing themselves and their compatriots.

    I must repeat...

We are all to blame for the mess in Washington.  We the people are the government of this republic, are we not? Do we intend to keep failing to govern ourselves properly?

Yes, the incumbents deserve to be impeached, but they have so construed the law in their favor, that cannot happen.  Only they have the power to impeach.

In short, the insane control the asylum.

We are called to brand an injunction on our foreheads until we can vote all of them out of office.
